This website gives general information about tree work in the Atlanta area. It is not an inspection of your trees, legal advice about tree ordinances, or a quote. Tree rules change, so confirm current requirements with your city or county before work begins.
Prices and quotes
Prices shown on this website are typical ranges, not offers. A firm price is given only after we see the tree and the site, and it applies to the scope described in that quote. Changes to the scope, conditions found once a climber is in the tree, or permit requirements can change the price, and we tell you before any change is made.
Permits and property lines
Property owners are responsible for confirming that a tree is theirs to remove or prune and for any permit their city or county requires. When you ask us to prepare permit paperwork, we do so with your authorization, but approval is the decision of the city or county.
Utility lines
We do not work within reach of energized utility lines. Work near the service line to a house is scheduled with the utility. Trees touching the utility's main lines must be reported to the utility.
How calls are handled
Our crew line is answered 24/7. When every Model City crew is already committed, for example after a major storm, and we cannot reach you in time, we may forward your call to another trusted local tree company so you are not left waiting. That company quotes and performs its own work under its own terms.
Site conditions
Please tell us about buried lines, irrigation, septic systems, pets and anything else we cannot see. We file a Georgia 811 locate before stump grinding and root work, but private lines that are not marked by the utility locators remain the owner's responsibility to point out.
